Yes, i am a SpongeBob fan. :)
Well, after the past couple weeks I have learned a lot through iHCPL. A lot of it i already sort of knew, i just didn't know where exactly i could get them from. It has been a while since i had learned of podcasts, i just didn't know where exactly i could find them. After iHCPL learned where i could get them and have been downloading them recently. I also learned about ColorPicker which is really helpful for a graphic designer like myself, although there are other things that have to be done besides just finding a picture and using it, ColorPicker does help me out in coming up with ideas for many of the designs of which i come up with. iHCPL has been a very good learning experience and all in all it has helped me become more acquainted with the information and technology being used in today's world.

#22 - Download! Download! Download!

OverDrive, the place for everything you need. Well, maybe not everything. However, you can find lots of interesting materials on there. Books, videos, etc. It is useful for those patrons who are in tune with the digital world. Want a book? Read it digitally! Wow, the things you can do these days. Although I didn't find anything that was too appealing to myself while I browsed. I did see a lot of which I would recommend to someone else. I will keep toying around with OverDrive later and go more in depth, I'm pretty sure that after some good searching, i will find something for myself.

#21 - Podcasts, Smodcasts!

Did I find anything useful? Well, if i was into that sort of thing maybe. It depends on the person, I am real picky when it comes to talk shows and things of that nature. Now I'm not saying that all podcasts are talk shows, but the majority of them do have some talking in them. I did however find some podcasts that had movie previews and others that basically used podcasts as a way to get their music know or to revive a lost sound. I found some 90s music which i had not heard in a very long time which actually pretty cool. I was like wow, the long lost music is finding its way back on the airwaves through podcasts. Its pretty amazing what all you can find on the web nowadays.

Week 9 - YouTube!

If you are unable to view the video, click here.

Some of you know it as "Every Breath You Take" by Police, others know it as "I'll Be Missing You" by Puff Daddy (P. Diddy). Now this is the tejano version, "Cada Vez Que Resuelles" by Conjunto Oro. YouTube is not only a way of viewing music videos, there are many various videos on YouTube. There are some shows produced specifically for YouTube and others use it to express their opinions and share it with others. Some may get mass attention such as the "leave britney alone guy" while other videos wont even have one view. YouTube is still a great way of sharing videos with people around the world.

#19 - Zoho! Ho!

Zoho is an online word processor that is basically an online version of Microsoft Office, but we wont get into that. Its very "similar", ill say that much. It is very convenient for those of us on the go, the only flaw that I noticed was the fact that you cannot save in any type of format to the computer itself. It is all online, the downfall of that is that there is always that slight chance, the risk of a server going down or your internet failing. If you cant connect to the site, how do you get your work?

Week 8 - It Is All Just One Click Away...

You can find anyone online nowadays, if it isn't one site, its the other. Everyone is starting to make themselves available online to reach those who they have lost contact with over the years. Facebook is a more formal version of a networking site, it is used to find those long lost school mates who have lost touched or moved away. Although it can be used to meet new people, Facebook is more oriented towards those who have already known each other in the past. Now if you are looking towards meeting new people in general, you can try a site such as Myspace or Ning. Those sites are more oriented towards those who want to meet and make new friends, however it can be used by those who do just want to keep in touch. Myspace allows the user to completely customize their profile page to their liking to let others view their style and likings. Although most of these sites seem like great sites, they all do have their bad sides, the "bad" people in the world. These sites have been known to cause problems for some who have just been using the sites to meet new people, while I'm not saying do not use them, I do recommend that you do use them with caution. Don't trust everyone you meet in other words.

#17 - Mouses, Monitors, and Keyboards! Oh My!

Technology, its what helps us move on and make our lives "easier". Advances in technology are reached daily and are made available to the public almost weekly, either something changes or there is some kind of upgrade that suddenly becomes available to better what we have. Its mind boggling. The iPod, the iTouch, the iPhone, tablet PCs, the iRobot vacuum! It is items like these that are supposed to help us have an easier less stressed life, but with the advancment in technology, people become lazier, and they realize that everything they need is available at the push of a button. Everyone is just starting to lay back and enjoy the ride. Im not saying technology is a bad thing, but it sure is start to get the best out of some of us.

Week 7 - Wiki-wiki-wiki-wiki...Jam On It...

No, not that kind of Wiki of course, were talking about online wikis. Wait, What? That made a lot of sense. Well wikis is a way of sharing information with everyone. What? Wait, but havent alot of the things here on iHCPL been used to share information. The answer is YES, yes they have, but it is all different types of information and each way of getting it is getting more advanced. Wikis for instance are basically an online Encyclopedia, the only catch is that the information on a wiki can be changed or edited by anyone. Hopefully after thousands of edits, the information is correct. It is a great way of sharing knowledge with others and learning alot from others as well.

#15 - Oh No, Library 2.0!

The Future is coming!
The Future is coming!
Are we prepared? Library 2.0 is basically the way of looking towards the future and preparing for whats ahead. A way of keeping us from hitting the "icebergs" in our path. Technology is taking over everything we know and everything is going digital, even books now a days are becoming digital. Audiobooks were one thing, but being able to download an entire book online and having this small device display every single page of a book is just an example of how technology advancing. And it isnt limited to only one book, you can have various books in one device without the hassle of you having to carry around alot of books. Library 2.0 is only the beginning, a look into the future.

#14 - Where's The Fire?

Technorati is a very interesting site. Before this, I had no idea that it even existed. It is basically a search engine that is used for mainly blogs. It is actually pretty helpful if you are just wanting to know various peoples opinions on things. You can just type in the subject or a keyword and Technorati brings up a listing of blogs that match your search. When I typed in "Learning 2.0" in the keyword search in blog posts, I got different results than when I searched for it in tags in the blog directory.
This site is very useful for those of us who like to read random blogs and compare our opinions with the opinions of others.

Week 6 - Its Del.icio.us!

Del.icio.us is a pretty good site for those of us who are always on the go. If you see something while youre away from your personal computer that you want to maybe look at later, you can just bookmark it on your del.icio.us account to view it at a later time. It is also a great way of sharing your interests with other people, whether you would like to share the laughter of a funny picture or the information from a website, you could just give the link to your del.icio.us account and spread the wealth.

#12 - Never Fear, Library Elf Is Here!

So what is LibraryElf exactly? Well, library elf is a little guy that follows you around everywhere so that he could give Santa input on whether or not you should be on the naughty list. Ok, ok, maybe he isn't that kind of elf, but in a way the elf is always there. LibraryElf was designed to help people keep track of when the items they have checked out from the library to help people return them on time and to avoid any type of late fee.

#11 - Thing? What Thing? Oh, Wait! LibraryThing!

Do You See It?
Can You See It?
Its Right There!
Where?
Look!
Right There, On The Right...do you see it?
That is my LibraryThing. Now what is LibraryThing? LibraryThing is a pretty cool "thing" that was made for you to not only keep track of but share the favorite books that you have read throughout the years. You can also use it to share the books that you may have in your book collection at home.

Week 5 - Crank Dat Image Generator!

Meez 3D avatar avatars games

Now watch me YUUUAA!
Lol. The only sad thing about avatars and things of that nature is the fact that no matter how hard you try, you can never get the thing to look like you. So I just winged it and threw this little guy together using meez. It was a lot of fun, this site has a lot of accesories to choose from, the only thing is that once you start getting more in depth there are items which you have to buy using coins which you purchase off of the website. I think that for the time being, I will stay away from spending any kind of money on an avatar, but for the mean time try out meez and "Crank Dat" Image Generator!

#9 - MTV, CNN, VH1, Comedy Central, And Everything Else!

So with my bloglines account I was able to set up my feeds to receive all my news and info all in one place. My main interest is in music, cars, and entertainment equipment. I provide musical entertainment for functions at times and keeping up with the details of the industry really keeps me in tune with the audience of today.

Week 4 - RSS! RSS! RSS!

Wow! So as it turns out, I can recieve RSS feeds on my phone! The feeds are a pretty good quick way of receiving information without having to go back and forth from place to place, you can set everything up to your liking so that everything you want and need is there right there for you when you need it.

Color Picker lets you choose a certain color and allows you find pictures that have that certain color in it. I thought it was going to be something weak that just showed pictures that just had a glimpse of a color, just a spot, but no. Most of the photos were in engulfed by the color, the shade, the hue, the tone, everything. It was actually pretty cool. For a while i was wondering where in the world black was but after i took a closer look there was a shade bar on the side that you can drag up and down to get different variations of the colors. (light to dark, dark to light, etc.) Its actually pretty cool, especially if youre looking for pictures with a certain color theme.

Week 2 - blah...

"this is a test of the emergency broadcast system...."
